With a background in environmental conservation and a passion for books and inclusivity, Radhika Timbadia came to us with a beautiful dream— a library, bookstore and café that would carry a sensitive and inclusive curation and be accessible to everyone across ages and social strata. A space that would celebrate the joy of reading, and welcome everyone associated with books through cosy events.
It became the perfect opportunity to design an identity inspired from the abundance of a forest. We named it together after Bengaluru’s ubiquitous summer flower— a strong sense of place and a fun word that is playful and easy to speak. With Radhika and the all-woman team’s efforts, Champaca has quickly become a cherished Bangalore landmark.
